Smart Sonde
Smartsonde.org is the website for my 2005/2006 Senior Project at CU Boulder, which was a small, lightweight, low power, uav-launched “Smart Sonde” (a sonde is a device used to make in-situ meteorological measurements). The project was a partial success, demonstrating a working UAV-deployment system, parafoil, avionics and sensor package, and flight/ground software package. Unfortunately, it never wound up flying all that well due to stability issues that were not solved before the project ended.
