The plane rides sucked...after being delayed 6 hours due to storms on the east coast, we had an emergency landing in Chicago due to a hydraulic problem, then finally made it to Boston at about midnight (firetrucks lined the runway we had to land at in Chicago). Finally made it to Ireland, and headed up from Shannon (airport) north to the little town of Westport. Never made it over to Belfast (next trip). From Westport, we drove way north to the sea along the top of County Mayo. We then headed south after a couple days and hit Castle Kearney, a very old, very beautiful castle that is now a 5-star hotel ($400/night...and no we didn't stay there lol) where Pierce Brosnan got married recently. The castle has a very beautiful set of gardens and a falconry school (I wanted to take a lesson but we didn't have time). Also, a bunch of picturesque old structures we found along the way.
